Buddy Peters' photography has evolved as a result of spending his entire life enjoying and studying nature. From his early childhood on, he loved spending time with animals of all kinds. He would spend hours just lying in the grass studying his surroundings. He also loved walking in the woods, wading in streams and exploring his surroundings. Later, he would spend weekends either at Kalamazoo Nature Center or Baker Sanctuary doing volunteer work and field studies. Some of his duties included bird banding and taking water samples. Now, he spends his vacations and weekends traveling all over the country.

Some of the places where Buddy has enjoyed doing his work are The Great Smokey Mountains, Rocky Mountain National Park, Ontario, Canada and many more including the wilderness of his home state of Michigan. Part of his experience working with animals comes from years of working as a veterinarian's assistant. He has also worked as an orphan wildlife rehabilitator. While wildlife is his main subject, he also works in scenics and landscapes. "All Things Wild" is his way of expressing his love for nature and all that goes with it; birds, insects, mammals and plants. His wife Lori shares his interest and love of the outdoors and accompanies him in the field. His work displays his love of "ALL THINGS WILD".
